Yeah, so I’m kinda sorta obsessed with Lana Del Rey - meaning that I started listening to her all Friday and haven’t stopped - and it’s Monday. I don’t know what it is about this young woman but her sound on this “Born To Die” album is unique as f____. I’m in awe.
I saw her SNL performance and as someone who has struggled with stage fright and understands the HUGE differences between performing live and in studio, she might flourish way more with recording. Plus, her recording technique uses multi-layering of vocals on tracks so that there is a much richer sound, which is practically impossible t to replicate in concert.
I’m just counting the days until Kanye invites her the open his next project. I see a collabo with A$AP Rocky as well. We shall see.
Women vocalists are killing shit right now. I’m happy.
